Golf Memberships

Memberships at Sandhurst Club include the newer transferable style of membership, also known as a Share (Individual, Family and Corporate) which allows for future transfer and changes of nominee (or playing rights) as well as the non-transferable Lifetime memberships, similar to a traditional joining fee style of membership at a traditional golf club. Sandhurst has also recently introduced a mid week (Monday to Friday membership) membership in addition to the 7 day membership options that have been available since the Club's inception.

Members have the right to use the first class facilities that Sandhurst Club has to offer, including:

The North Course, designed by 5 Times British Open Champion Peter Thomson
The Champion's Course, featuring a contrasting 'sandbelt' style of course to the more open North Course
Modern practice facilities, including a two tier, 270 metre driving range, practice greens, and practice bunkers
The stunning clubhouse, which includes a members' bar and restaurant, function and event facilities, providing sweeping views across the North Course and Dandenong Ranges.

In addition all golf members have access to the Health Club. The facilities include a gymnasium, swimming pool (25 metre, 4 lane indoor) which opened on January 26th, 2007. Membership costs at present are as follows:

Option 1 - Mid Week Membership

This new membership category, with no joining fee, was launched in December 2008, and is a non ownership option that allows play from Monday to Friday, and costs just $29 a week including Clubhouse Levy!
Health Club access is based on Monday to Friday use, whilst Clubhouse and driving range access is 7 days a week
This membership is effectively only for golf playing rights, and is not transferrable, and no change of player can occur under it

Option 2 - 7 Day Lease of a Share (Individual, Family or Corporate)

Lease of a Share is by way of payment of another member's annual subscription. The 2009/2010 yearly fee figure is $2995 per person (all inclusive gst, annual subscriptions, hospitality levy etc), and also include a compulsory competition fee component.
This lease is for a minimum of 12 months, maximum of 6 years, and the $2995 is generally paid up front in a single lump sum (some potential for a discount on this figure is possible as is payment options - owners discretion applies)
This is effectively the same as a no joining fee membership, and Sandhurst currently has 70 of these available

Option 3 - Share Purchase

If you would prefer the security of owning your own membership, as well as the most popular category of membership at Sandhurst Club, rather than renting one then your choices are as follows:
Individual Share - One person playing right - Outright purchase from $19,500 (single payment) or $21,000 (over 3 payments of $7,000 each)
Family Share - Two Players of playing rights - Outright purchase from $32,000
Corporate Share - Between 2 and 4 Players worth of playing rights - Outright purchase from $39,000
A limited number of transferable shares are available at discounted prices, some up to half price (compared to the above price listing) through the secondary market at present, please call to find out more
These share memberships at Sandhurst Club are fully transferable (ie can be sold in the future), can be rented out and can be bequeathed
If you purchase this type of membership then the Annual Fees can be paid at just over $249 per month inclusive of all charges and taxes

Option 4 - Lifetime Membership

This non ownership option is currently very close to being oversubscribed, and only 15 still remain
At present no joining fee applies, but with an expected wait list to occur a fee is likely to be charged in the near future for this category
This category is similar to a traditional club 'joining fee' style of membership
This membership is not transferrable, and no change of player can occur under it
Once full the best option to secure a lifetime membership if they become available would be in order of priority a) those members already registered as mid week members and then b) those who register on the waiting list (charges and conditions TBA)

Privileged access to other venues

In addition to the two magnificent courses onsite, Sandhurst Club Golf Members enjoy privileged access to play at other PGA Links managed venues such as Sanctuary Lakes Resort, the Greg Norman designed championship layout in Melbourne's west, along with other courses such as Twin Creeks in Sydney, Hope Island and Peregian Springs in Queensland. Furthermore several courses throughout Asia share reciprocal arrangements with Sandhurst Club. These venues are likely to be added to in the future as PGA LINKS expands its network of clubs under management and other partner relationships are developed.
