Golf course closure update 28 March

Sandhurst Golf North Course Hole 14

Dear Members,

All golf clubs have been issued with an update from Golf Australia following their endeavours to seek further clarification on the current COVID-19 restrictions on behalf of the industry. It is their recommendation that based on the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services directive issued as part of the Victorian Government’s Stage 2 restrictions that all Victorian golf clubs and facilities should close until April 13.

Following this advice Sandhurst Club’s two golf courses will close at midnight Saturday 28 March until 13 April or further notice.

This announcement comes with much sadness however it is necessary at this time to keep the safety of our members, employees and community at the forefront.

During this closure all members are not permitted on the courses. Flags will be removed and tee times closed in MiClub. Marshals will continue to patrol the courses to avoid possible fines.

Again, we appreciate your ongoing understanding, support and co-operation during this difficult time. We will keep you informed with any further developments as they come to hand. We look forward to when it is safe to reopen and welcome everyone back on course.

Stay safe, stay healthy.

Julian Murray (CEO)
