Course protection

Bird control Sandhurst Melbourne

Over the coming weeks, golf course staff will be trialling a new approach in an attempt to address the increasing issue of bird damage to the Club’s golf playing surfaces. In an effort to encourage populations of (predominantly) cockatoos to move to areas not adjacent to the golf course, starters’ pistols will be deployed to try to disturb the birds sufficiently so that they move to other areas. This trial will last two to four weeks and will cause some disturbance to residents, predominantly in the mornings and evenings. Please do not be alarmed if you hear sonic scare decoys at regular intervals during this time.

Thank you for your understanding.
