Junior Activities

Sandhurst Club is dedicated to the health and well being of our youngest members, as well as the children of our members. A range of programs are available for children aged six months and over. All programs are run during school term dates and the holiday program takes over when school’s out.


Golf is a great game for kids to learn. Good golf skills will travel through life with them and the game instills a manner of sportsmanship which is transferrable to other games and life situations. Let’s not forget, the golfing stars of the future need to start somewhere, and what better place than Sandhurst?

Junior Swimming

Learning to swim is a childhood milestone, an essential life skill that not only opens the door to a lifetime of water fun but may also save a life.

Sandhurst Club offers swimming through our Swim School which is run by qualified and registered Austswim instructors. Lessons focus on developing children’s stroke technique and water safety awareness in a safe and fun environment. Class sizes are small, allowing each student to receive individual attention. Swimming abilities are assessed by Swim School instructors and children are placed in the appropriate level based on their abilities.

Suitable for 6 months old and upwards. Private and group lessons run Monday to Saturday.

Sandhurst Club has a plexicushion surface basketball court and is equipped with full lighting – it’s the perfect place for future sporting legends to practice their game and meet new friends. With two different age groups, this is a great introduction to basketball consisting of warm-up games, skill activities and modified games.

Suitable for 6 to 12 year old’s. Group lessons run every Friday.

Sandhurst Club offers fantastic facilities for future tennis aces to learn the game and practice their skills. The junior tennis sessions focus on technique, grip, match play and court craft as well as mobility and increasing fitness levels. The kids will be ready to challenge you to a game in no time!

Lessons can be taken as group classes, private or semi-private sessions for kids of all levels. Junior tennis featuring smaller courts, smaller rackets and softer tennis balls so that kids develop skills faster.

Suitable for 4 years old and upwards. Private and group lessons run Monday to Saturday.
