Peter Thomson dies at 88

Peter Thomson AO CBE, course designer of both of Sandhurst’s courses (as part of Thomson Perret) and honorary golf member passed away on 20 June after an extended battle with Parkinson’s Disease, aged 88.

Thomson was a hero of Australian golf, the first Australian to win the Open Championship and designed courses around the world. He is pictured above at Sandhurst with Developer Ken Roche AO and bagpiper Stuart Robertson on Australia Day 2002.
